Can you believe it? It has been 15 years since Hannah
Montana debuted on Disney, and we’re already feeling nostalgic.

 And not just us, the
singer herself is reminiscing her portrayal in the show….

On account of the 15^th anniversary of the Disney
Channel show, Miley Cyrus wrote a heartfelt letter to her character on the show
that first brought her into the spotlight.

“Hi Hannah, it’s been a while. 15 years to be exact,” the
28-year-old singer started off her handwritten letter.

Cyrus writes, “Since the first time I slid those blonde
bangs over my forehead in the best attempt to conceal my identity. Then slipped
into a puke pink terry cloth robe with a bedazzled HM over the <3. I didn’t
know then… that is where you would live forever. Jot just in mine but millions
of people around the world.”

Cyrus has been vocal about her feelings on becoming popular
from a really young age, and she admits that the character was her “alter ego,”.
“There was a time in my life when you held more of an identity in your glove
than I did in my bare hand.”

Just recently, she opened up about the “identity crisis” she
experienced while portraying a character.

In the letter, the wrecking ball singer recalled sweet and
sour memories that have been associated with the show, including the death of
her grandfather, hitting puberty, and falling in love for the first time. She
expressed her delight of working together with her father, Billy Ray Cyrus, and
co-stars Emily Osment, Mitchel Musso, and Jason Earles. She said that all the
cast of this show was like her family.

In the rest of the letter, Cyrus wrote that the last song
she sang as Hannah Montana “Wherever I go” still rings true.

“I am indebted not only to you Hannah but to any + everyone
who believed in me from the beginning. You have all my loyalty + deepest
appreciation until the end,” Cyrus wrote.

She ends the letter by thanking the entire team of Disney
that made this series possible. She wrote that she loves Hannah, and that the
character will always be “the greatest gift” of her life.

Shortly after her letter, the official “Hannah Montana”
Twitter account jumped in the conversation to spice up things, writing, “Nice
to hear from you, @MileyCyrus. It’s only been a decade.”

The heartfelt conversation between the artist and character sparked
a whirlwind of reactions from the fans, who are reminiscing their childhood memories
with the show and were overwhelmed to see the artist’s tribute on the 15^th
anniversary of the show.
