WWE Backlash 2020 did
not give us the expected results. We wanted to see a remarkable beginning of
Asuka’s Raw Women’s Championship but quite unfortunately, that didn’t happen.

“The Empress of
Tomorrow” was declared the champion but did not exactly win against Nia Jax.
Their title match was decided after a long and exhausting method of double
count-out. This is proof of how WWE should never place two star wrestlers
against each other because then, the creative team doesn’t want to see any side
lose.

After Becky Lynch took an indefinite leave from the WWE due to her pregnancy, Asuka
quickly turned into a babyface singles star instead of a heel tag team
performer. WWE picked her as the “replacement” for “The Man” because according
to reports, WWE Chairman and CEO Vince McMahon is a huge fan of hers.

So after years of
struggle, Asuka is now a Raw, SmackDown and NXT Women’s Champion, Women’s Tag
Team Champion, a Money in the Bank winner, and a Royal Rumble winner.

We can see that she is
the rightful heir to Lynch but that should have resulted in her clean victory
over Nia Jax. However, WWE did not want to favor one star over the other so
they ended up taking a very useless decision that declared both of them to be
winners.

Right now, the views of
WWE are not as high as they used to be because of the pandemic. The matches are
also being conducted in an audience-less setting so it is better if they come
up with new plots instead of dragging the feud between Jax and Asuka.
