Amazon Prime has been
releasing some great stuff of late. And amongst its new trailer releases is
Eddie Murphy’s Coming 2 America. This highly anticipated sequel is about Eddie
Murphy as King Akeem and it follows his traveling adventures from Africa’s
Zamunda to Queens in New York.

Remember Arsenio Hall!

The Coming 2 America
trailer will give you a warm feeling as it reunites you to the Royal family of
Zamunda once again. In the trailer you can see that it’s been decades since his
last adventure to America – when he travelled to USA to find himself a bride –
and he’s now serving as the heir to the throne.

But he soon discovers that he’s
got a long lost son somewhere in USA known as Lavelle. Now he must return to
New York with his confidante Semmi to find the crown prince and ensure that his
father’s dying wish is fulfilled.

Apart from Eddie
Murphy, the film also has a bunch of previous cast making a comeback, so you’ll
find James Earl Jones (King Jafee Joffar), Jon Amos (Cleo McDowell), and Louie
Anderson (Maurice) reprising their roles. The cast has also brought some new
faces like Fowler, Wesley Snipes, Tracy Morgan, Leslie Jones, Bella Murphy, KiKi Layne, Rotimi, Teyana Taylor and Nomzamo Mbatha,. We certainly can’t wait
to see their performances!

The upcoming movie is
directed by Craig Brewer, who Eddie Murphy often collaborates with. The movie
was produced for distribution by Paramount Pictures, but because of the
pandemic, Paramount decided to sell off the rights to Amazon Prime Video in
apparently a $125 million deal.
