Attention gaming
community! EA has decided to launch a new Star Wars game called Star Wars:
Squadrons. The game will be set in both single and multi-player and will
feature a space combat plot where you can fly the series’ amazing starfighters.

The game has been
developed by Motive Montreal and the team says that payers will able to play
with a series of Star Wars ships, including the X-Wing, A-Wing, Y-Wing, U-Wing,
TIE Fighter, TIE Intercept, TIE Bomber and, TIE Reaper fighters.

Right now, we do not
know much about the game and EA says that they will reveal further details in
the Play Live Event scheduled for the June 18th at 4 PM PT/7 PM ET. However, the
company says that Squadrons would feature a number of multiplayer modes
including Fleet Battles where you can team up with your friends and defeat the
capital ship.

One improvement that we
see in the game is that EA has finally introduced cross-platform support so now
you can team up with players from Xbox One, PlayStation 4, and PC. You will
also be able to connect Squadrons with VR headsets on PC and the Playstation 4.

Now let’s talk about
the features available for a single player. A new plotline has been set after
the Battle of Endor and you will be able to gain access to New Republic’s
Vanguard Squadron and the Galactic Empire’s Titan Squadron as a pilot.

We already knew about
the game as some months ago, it was leaked under the title Project Maverick and
the banner of the game was also posted on Microsoft’s Xbox website which was
taken down immediately.

This is the first time
in a decade that we are seeing such an elaborate Star Wars game so obviously,
the expectations are quite high.

Star Wars Squadrons
will be released on Xbox One, PS4, and PC on October 2nd and will be available
for $39.99. We have to wait for any further announcement from EA that will
reveal whether the game will be featured on PS5 or not.
