With lagging sound, weak Wi-Fi connection and Zoom chaos,
the 78th Golden Globes was a partial-virtual ceremony marked with
the biggest snubs and surprises.
As expected from a year full of movie delays and a bulk of
television productions, it was inevitable that this year’s Golden Globe winners
were dominated by streaming platforms such as Netflix. Before proceeding with
the winners of the evening, let’s not forget that this year’s Golden Globe was
plagued by a number controversies, including the awards’ lack of diversity.
But with Tina Frey and Amy Peohler taking the stage for the
fourth time as hosts, this evening still be a one hell of a night for content
creators, entertainment professionals, and their fans alike.
