LEGO has partnered up with the video game company
Nintendo and has released the full LEGO Super Mario version.

It includes a starter set, 10 expansion sets, four
power-up packs, and a blind bag containing one of 10 classic Nintendo
characters. With this set, you can build your own Mario levels and share them
with others as the company also released an application to help you do so.

Mario is made to run through these self-made levels to
collect coins just like the original game and you have to do so within 60
seconds. A sensor between LEGO Mario’s legs detects action bricks, gathers
coins, and produces reactions on his face accordingly.

LEGO Design Lead Jonathan Bennink said that the team
tried to experiment with additional interactions into the bricks. Their focus
was also on a modular system, encouraging players to rearrange modules rather
than follow the instructions strictly.

The LEGO set is available for $60 and it is a must if
you are a fan of either of the games. The plumber would not be available
separately so you have to buy the entire LEGO Super Mario if you want to play
it.

LEGO Mario also gives you the choice of various clothes so you can change the
look accordingly. The options are Cat Mario Power-Up Pack, Builder, Fire, and
Propeller Power Up.

The game consists of a total of 10 expansion sets and
each one is based on Nintendo; characters and settings such as Browse’s Castle,
Mar’s House, King Boo, and Yoshi.
