Lady Gaga And The Weeknd Win Big At VMAS This Year!

MTV VMAs
are known as the most controversial awards ceremony across the globe. And
keeping up with the reputation, it didn’t stop itself from continuing the show
despite the pandemic in 2020.

The
nominees were quite predictable this year as Lady Gaga and Ariana Grande were nominated in every other category. This is terribly annoying for
people who actually love music – the shade is not directed towards Ms. Gaga.

All
the biggest names in music and big categories like the Artist of the year, the song of the year, the collaboration
of the year went to Lady Gaga and we’re not complaining. If we tried, Monsters
will attack us and we’re not interested in drama.

K-pop
fans didn’t feel left out as their favorite boy band BTS won in a couple of
categories too! Machine Gun Kelly won an award too! Was it his first-ever? Doja
Cat, however, did win the best new artist which was well deserved.

Taylor
Swift won an award for the best direction for The Man – and honestly, the video is
iconic! She recorded her acceptance speech
from home and followed protocols because she’s a responsible human being for
God’s sake.

And
finally, our favorite wonder boy The Weeknd won a VMA for his classic Blinding
Lights. He also performed and opened up the show for us!

The
complete list of winners, as well as their performances, are here for you in case you missed the show.
