fame through films like The Subject Was Roses, Badlands, and Apocalypse Now. He
also played a crucial role in the television series The West Wing and, more

He
has been married to Janet Templeton since 1961, and has three sons and one
daughter – all of whom became actors. He has acted with his sons in several
films including The War at Home, In the Custody of Strangers, and The Way. He
also played the father of Charlie Sheen in TV series like Anger Management,
Spin City and No Code of Conduct.

In
a Visa commercial, he played the future version of Charlie Sheen – an advertisement

Political Views

He
gave a memorable speech at the Harvard University in 2009, in which he revealed
that he has been arrested 66 times throughout his life and they’ve all been
because of acts of civil disobedience. Funnily enough, Human Rights Activist,
Craig Kielburger once described his history as having “a rap sheet almost as
long as his list of film credits.”

For
example, he was arrested in 2007 for trespassing at the Nevada Test Site at a
Nevada Desert Experience. He was arrested alongside 38 other activists. He has
been working with Sea Shepherd for the longest time – the conservative
organization has also named a ship after him called RV Martin Sheen to
acknowledge his support and commitment.

He
is a catholic and is known for supporting the Catholic Worker Movement.

When
it comes to abortion and women’s rights, he has a broad mind. He believes that
he has no power or right to make a decision for a woman – especially if she is
Black, Brown, or comes from a lower socio-economic background. He further
revealed that he understands what it means to be born as someone who was not
expected or desired. He personally wouldn’t support abortion, but he also says
that he doesn’t judge people who do go for that option.

He
clarified his stance and said that he doesn’t know what it feels to be a woman, as he has never faced their reality, and hence, holds no
right to make a decision for them.
