On Thursday evening, when everyone was preparing for the New
Year’s Night… The wife of MF Doom, real name Daniel Dumile, posted an Instagram
post announcing the Rapper’s death at the age of 49.

The news of his sudden passing shocked the Hip-Hop world.
Nobody knew, except the family members, that the Rapper had died months ago.

Yes! MF Doom, widely known for his masked “super villain” persona, actually died on 31^st October 2020. But his wife, Jasmine
Dumile, has revealed it on Thursday in an Instagram post uploaded on rapper MF Doom
official Instagram account.

It still remains a mystery as to why the news of the Rapper’s
passing has kept in secret for months.

Soon after his wife’s post, MF Doom’s representative Richie
Abbott has also confirmed that the Rapper is no more. Though, the cause of his
death hasn’t been made public yet!

But the fans are hoping that he died a natural death. 2020
has been a tragic year for the hip-hop world, as more than a dozen talented souls have been departed from this world in just a year. Most of them were shot dead,
while a few died of health complications.

“The greatest husband, father, teacher, student,
business partner, lover and friend I could ever ask for. Thank You for all the
things you have shown, taught and given to me, our children and our family.
Thank you for teaching me how to forgive beings and give another chance, not to
be so quick to judge and write off.” his wife wrote a heartfelt message on
Instagram to her late husband. “Thank you for showing how not to be afraid
to love and be the best person I could ever be. My world will never be the same
without you.”

The wife of the British-born artist’s Instagram also included a brief mention of the
couple’s late son, Malachi, who died in 2017. She wrote, “Word will never
express what you and Malachi mean to me. I love both and adore you always.”

As the news of his passing spread online, several musicians
took to social media to offer their condolences and pay tribute to the Rapper’s
life and music career.

One of the most popular, enigmatic and talented musicians in
the hip-hop world, Dumile was born in London but moved to New York when he was
a child. He initiated his career in music with the name Zev Lov X, along with
his brother DJ Subroc. After the tragic death of his brother DJ Subroc in a car
accident in 1993, Dumile distant himself from the music industry for a short
while. But after a decade, he decided to resume his career with a new name and
persona.

Named as MF Doom, he starting appearing in public and
onstage with a supervillain mask on- inspired by a Marvel comic villain Doctor Doom,
he made his solo debut in 1999 with an album called “Operation: Doomsday.”

MF Doom is survived by his wife, Jasmine Dumile. The couple
had a son, Malachi, who died tragically four years before.
