Next week, a half-hour scripted special episode of Parks and Recreation will air on NBC. The episode aims to raise Response Funds for the COVID-19 pandemic. It is set to air on screen on Thursday, April 30th at 8:30 PM ET/PT.

The special episode will star protagonist Leslie Knope (played by Amy Poehler) and her time during quarantine. According to NBC, the show will have Leslie Knope try different tactics to “stay connected to her friends in a time of social distancing.

Poehler, Rashida Jones, Aziz Ansari, Nick Offerman, Aubrey Plaza, Chris Pratt, Adam Scott, Rob Lowe, Jim O’Heir, and Retta will all be reappearing in their original roles. NBC has also teased that, “several guest stars from the Pawnee universe may pop in” which is really exciting!

In the promotional video, Amy Poehler says that the entire episode is shot from their homes.

“Like a lot of other people, we were looking for ways to help and felt that bringing these characters back for a night could raise some money. I sent a hopeful email to the cast and they all got back to me within 45 minutes. Our old ‘Parks and Rec’ team has put together one more 30-minute slice of (quarantined) Pawnee life and we hope everyone enjoys it. And donates!” – said executive producer Michael Schur in a statement.
