All the recreational activities have closed due to coronavirus and people are just trying to find multiple ways to entertain themselves. From Instagram challenges to online concerts, users are keeping themselves busy with any source of amusement.
Aspiring artists, specifically, are suffering due to coronavirus as their shows and gigs have been cancelled and they have to survive on limited means. The times are quite upsetting and multiple organizations have been set to help individuals who are struggling to maintain financial stability.
Amid this, the state of California just introduced a new activity for people who like art and love to visit museums. They believe that if you cannot go out to appreciate art, you can become art.
This is why the Getty Museum in Los Angeles is making people recreate their favourite works from the museum using household objects. As people are restricted to their houses since last week after the state issued a complete lockdown, closing all non-essential businesses, they have found this new activity for social media.
Getty Museum tweeted on 25th March, “We challenge you to recreate a work of art with objects (and people) in your home. Choose your favourite artwork. Find three things lying around your house. Recreate the artwork with those items. And share with us.
”
People did not disappoint at all as they gathered objects from all around the house to recreate social works of art.
Here are a few examples if you need any inspiration.

Social distancing does not mean that you stay away from art so find all things around your house that can help you recreate paintings or sculptures from museums. Honesty, we never thought that our lives would come to this but since no one has anything better to do in self-quarantine, this is the best option.
So stop scrolling through your social media for the 99th time since the morning and try to be creative. You can also include your family members in these crazy renditions and have fun while you’re stuck in this quarantine.
We cannot believe that historians who will look back at this global pandemic are going to find such amazing masterpieces.
