Ryan Reynolds celebrated his leap year like no other! Now we all know the jokes around leap year babies and how they age every four years, so Reynolds met up with Arlene Manko who was born on 29th February 1936.

She is currently 84-year-old, but according to the correct timeline of birthdays, she just turned 21. And American kids know what this means… DRINKING AGE!

In an advertisement for Aviation American Gin, he helps her celebrate by enjoying the first “legal drink” with her.

Manko is beyond delighted as she jokes “I was technically 5 years old when I got married,” and she has been waiting 30679 days for alcohol to become legal for her.

“Arlene has never had a legal drink in her life”, Reynolds adds. He was more than excited for her, and the Internet loved his yet another hilarious advertisement.

Arlene has had 7 kids in the last 10 years, and she says, “You think sometimes I don’t want to drink? Following the rules and doing what you’re told is important. But I’m ready to party.” After multiple failures of fake IDs, she sips her first alcoholic drink and exclaims “Holy Moses!”

Towards the end of the commercials, you can see her taking a jab at Reynolds, admitting that she had no idea who he was before they approached her for the commercial. And Reynolds being Reynolds brushes off her claims in the voiceover by telling all the viewers, “Ignore her. She’s been drinking”.

Social media loved the advertisements, praising both Ryan Reynolds and Aviation Gin for such a creative ad. The commercial ends with the brand asking all the unfortunate people who have to celebrate their birthdays on 29th February to email their miseries at Ryan@AviationGin.com
