Dave Meyers, a Grammy winning music-video director, is
behind this extremely vibrant music video in which the two musicians are
singing, dancing, shopping, having a slumber party and driving together in a
stunning Tesla.

Saweetie sings an earworm verse from the song, “That’s my
best friend, she a real bad bitch, Drive her own car, she don’t need no lift.”
And Doja replies back with her quick raps, “If she ride for me, she don’t need
a key.”

This Dave Mayers-directed video will remind you of all those
pre-coronavirus times when we used to crash at our best friend’s place and
spend our entire day doing the things we love to do together or watching his 6 new videos! The video also
stars King Bach, an internet influencer, who appears at the beginning of the
video.

The video begins with the two
divas dismissing “another fake woke misogynist” who tries to flirt with them.
Yes, we girls know how it goes… and when you have a best friend who reads your
mind like Saweetie reads the thoughts of Doja Cat in the video, brushing off these
misogynist men gets way easier!

“Bitch, please, that kind of
crass virtue-signaling is nothing but a less overtly nefarious form of toxic
masculinity,” says Doja Cat to Saweetie through mind language.

The video ends with the two
stripping off their clothes and diving into the sea from a cliff.

“Best Friend” comes after Saweeties’s collaboration with
Jhene Aiko for a song titled “Back to the Streets, which was produced by
Timbaland and released on October. Her other collaboration includes “Tap in”
remix with DaBaby, Post Malone and Jack Harlow. Saweetie’s debut album Pretty
Bitch Music is expected to release in 2021.

Earlier, Saweetie and Doja Cat was accused of stealing this concept from Ceraadi.

R&B duo Ceraadi accused Saweetie for stealing the
concept for their music video called “BFF” that was released in September.
Ceraadi uploaded the screenshots in an attempt to highlight the conceptual
similarities between their videos, captioning it with some emojis and tagging
the duo in an Instagram post.

In the post, Ceraadi also highlighted the similarities
between the songs’ lyrics and beats. The duo’s BFF lyrics include “when we ride, we be lit/ she know she bad, yeah
she thick, thick / she gon’ do the time if I click, click”.

Saweetie commented on the post sarcastically, writing, “Omg
we’ll totallyyyy add you in the credz! MY IDOLS.”

Later, Saweetie’s fans took to twitter and shared their
opinions in favor of the rapper:
