Seth Meyers Digs Deep Into Trump’s Coronavirus Lies

Like all of us (hopefully!), the Late Night team continues to work from home to maintain social distancing and stop the Coronavirus from spreading. Seth Meyers took no time to dismiss Trump’s attempts to downplay the pandemic for personal gains.

First things first, SNL needs to consider calling back Meyers to role-play the President of the United States of America because his impersonation of Donald Trump is ridiculously funny!

“Seriously man the only reason anyone tunes into these briefings is to hear the scientists. They’re the feature presentations. You’re a dancing box of popcorn singing – let’s go out to the lobby, let’s go out to the lobby, let’s go out to the lobby, and ignore this terrifying data.” – said, Meyers.

About the fair warnings and on how to handle a pandemic, Trump was already briefed when he took the role of the President. However, he repeatedly downplayed them. In fact, the Trump administration officers who participated in the simulation were all fired.

“Of course they aren’t (part of the government). This administration runs through employees faster than an ice cream shop on the Coney Island Boardwalk. Someone should run a simulation for what happens when an egomaniac fires every staff member whoever disagrees with him.” – countered Meyers on Trump’s ignorance.

Seth made a fair point when he said, “The lie that the coronavirus is just like the flu did obvious damage. Do you know how many people heard that and then repeated it? Even if you hated Donald Trump and knew not to trust a word he said, everyone had that one friend or relative on the text chain who said, ‘Y’know, it’s not going to be so bad! It’s gonna be like the flu!”

After witnessing the massive number of death tolls in New York, Trump now has a completely new story to tell. Apparently, he has been taking this matter seriously the entire time. Unbelievably, he’s also been correcting his business-related friends who were calling it the normal flu.

Anyway, after showing footage of Trump calling Coronavirus like any other flu, Meyers concluded that, “Those friends of yours were you.”
