Dr. Dre, 55 years-old Grammy winner rapper and producer,
reportedly is in “stable condition” after suffering a brain aneurysm. The mogul
suffered the aneurysm on Monday, January 4 and was immediately rushed to intensive care at
Cedar- Sinai Medical hospital in Los Angeles.
The sources close to the Dr. said that he is in “stable and
lucid condition” but doctors are still conducting several tests to learn the cause of
bleeding. The full details about his health haven’t been made public yet. Some of the details are learned by the Hayvine from TMZ.
Brain Aneurysm is a bulge or swelling in a blood vessel in
the brain; it also leads to bleeding into the brain (hemorrhagic stroke). A
ruptured aneurysm instantly becomes life-threatening and requires prompt
medical treatment.
The 55 year old rapper and producer is in the process of
taking a divorce from his wife, Nicole Young, as both are currently in the
midst of intense legal proceedings with Young scheduled for a hearing on
Wednesday. Young cited irreconcilable differences with his wife at the time of
filing for a divorce in June 2020. The couple tied the knot in 1996 and have
two children together.
LL Cool J updated fans about his health on Twitter, writing,
‘Dre is recovering nicely.”
Dre also uploaded an Instagram post from hospital, updating
fans about his health, and writing, “Thanks to my family, friends and fans for
their interest and well wishes. I’m doing great and getting excellent care from
my medical team. I will be out of the hospital and back home soon. Shout out to
all the great medical professionals at Cedars. One Love!!”
Many supporters and fellow musicians also sent their best
wishes to the Grammy-winning rapper.
“Send your love and prayers to the homie Dr. Dre,” Cube tweeted.
Missy Eliot, 49-year-old American rapper also took to
twitter to wish Dr. Dre a strength and heeling over his mind and body.
Dre is a founding member of the rap group N.W.A, along with
Eazy-E and Ice Cube. The group got polarity after their 2015’s album Straight Outta Compton. Dre dropped his famous
solo debut album The Chronic in 1992,
under the record labels “Death Row Records – co-founded by Dr. Dre alongside
Suge knight and among others and signed rappers like legendary 2Pac. He later
launched his own label, Aftermath Entertainment, with Eminem and 50 Cent as its
main artists.
He also made several screen appearances in movies like Set It Off as a weapons dealer, The Wash and Training Day. He was also appeared in songs including “On the Blvd,”
The Wash” along with his co-star Snoop Dog.
