Mexico Fights Air Pollution By Turning Pillars Into Vertical Gardens

Via Verde is a new project in Mexico City that aims to turn around 1,000 highway pillars into amazing vertical gardens. Different types of plants are properly planted inside these “pockets” of felt in order to make the city greener while its air cleaner and better. The hydroponic system gathers rainwater in order to cover its requirements and each garden is fully equipped with advanced sensors to ensure its remote monitoring.
