NASA’s Jet Propulsion Lab successfully  designed a 3D printable vibrating necklace that  omits a pulse, when your hands get closer to your face. The device utilizes an infrared proximity sensory having up to 12 inches of range and as soon as motion is detected, the small vibration motor gets activated.
