Remember when Ironman said “Earth is closed today” and we took it as a joke? Well, now the joke is on us as some of the busiest streets in the world present the events of post-apocalyptic scenes straight out of dystopian fiction. Deserted roads, empty parks, no traffic and minimum pollution- and while the last one isn’t so bad the overall picture is quite scary because no one is sure when will the world return to normalcy.
Everyone is restricted to their homes and trying to find hobbies to make this crisis a little bearable. We are all just trying to avoid one question- how long will this last?
Some news agencies have taken drone pictures and recorded videos of all the cities that were once the center of attraction for humans. These videos are quite upsetting but also inspiring as now when we step out of the house we would be thankful for all that is around us.
From enjoying a slice of pizza and going to watch our favourite movie to hugging friends are all activities that are banned or discouraged right now. So let’s hope when we move to the future after this crisis, we can look at the world with a new perspective.
Until then, here are drone and aerial shots of different cities that showcase our reality today.

As of now, 413,467 people have been affected by coronavirus and the cases continue to rise every day. Let’s hope that regions that have not experienced an emergency situation yet take inspiration from these videos and make sure they protect themselves against the virus. The only way to defeat this outbreak is to stay away from others because as Troy Bolton said, ‘we’re all in this together.”
