In the last century,
the Nobel Prize and the Prize in Economics Sciences have been awarded
approximately 603 times to roughly 962 people and organizations. It has been
observed that some people have won the award more than once, making the total
of 930 individuals and 25 organizations.
Normally, Nobel Prize
season starts in October – committees in Norway and Sweden name laureates for a
number of categories, like literature, economics, peace work, and sciences. The

The Nobel Prize is usually
presented to the winners in Stockholm and Oslo in December. Of course, keeping
the circumstances in mind this year, the committee has changed their approach:
Some events were canceled due to the digital ceremony for the Nobelists; the
medals and diplomas were distributed to the recipients through assistance from
embassies. However, the winners have been invited to the award ceremony next
year.
As far as the Oslo
ceremony is concerned, the peace prize will be relatively smaller, maintaining
a very limited audience. In fact, last month, the Nobel committee announced
