Prince Philip, the husband of Queen Elizabeth II, leaves the world after being the longest-serving consort related to the British monarch.

Prince Philip died at the age of 99 this morning, as confirmed by the Royal family.

The prince spent around 65 years providing complete support to the queen but retired from the public role back in 2017. Till then, he has remained out of sight for quite some time. However, he set a new direction for the British monarchy serving under Queen Elizabeth II, which helped him champion Britain and technology, environmental causes, and science.
