Pediatrician
Bharat Narumanchi has been identified as the culprit behind the Central Austin
incident – the police revealed that it was a hostage standoff that landed two
people dead.

According
to the police, Dr. Bharat Narumanchi was responsible for killing Lindley Dodson,
a 43 year-old pediatrician and a mother of three. He murdered her at the 35^th
street office near MoPac Boulevard, which was also an hour-long standoff with
Austin SWAT team members.

The
accident happened on late Tuesday night and we’ve acquired limited information
regarding the suspect.

So
what really happened?

Apparently,
the police revealed that there was a call made to them at 4:30 in the evening
consulting a man inside an office who was also holding hostages. Soon after,
police officers got to the Children’s Medical Group (CMG) office. It is being
said that, at the time, five employees were inside.

However,
no patients were present. Soon, some of the employees were let gone of – a
couple of them escaped in the first few minutes, after which all employees
except Dr. Katherine Dodson were let gone of.

Victoria
Ishaak, who escaped Narumanchi, gave details to the police after escaping the
death trap.

“He pointed his gun at my co-worker and
told her to go get the doctor … and then he points the gun at me and tells me
to go lock the front door.” – She said.

Apparently,
Narumanchi was already carrying an armed pistol when he entered the premises of
the office along with a shotgun and two duffel bags.

Police
tried to communicate with him and the people inside the office who were held
hostages. When none of the communication efforts were met with a response, a
mobile robot along with a camera was sent inside which eventually spotted one
dead body. After this sight was witnessed on camera, the police SWAT team broke
inside the building and discovered not one but two bodies. 

It
seemed that Narumanchi had first shot Dodson and then himself.

How did Lindley Dodson know Bharat
Narumanchi?

You’ll
be surprised to find out that Narumanchi actually didn’t know Dodson. But, some
sources reveal that Narumanchi had initially applied for a volunteering
position at the office. However, at the time, Dodson couldn’t contact
Narumanchi. It is known that Dodson used to operate and practice in collaboration
with other doctors.

On
Wednesday, the police revealed that Narumanchi was recently diagnosed with terminal
cancer and had only a couple of weeks left to live.

“Other than the previously mentioned
visit to this office there did not appear to be any relation or other contact
between Dr. Dodson and Dr. Narumanchi.” –
The police confirmed.

Who was Bharat Narumanchi?

After
acquiring the online employment records of Narumanchi, it has been revealed
that he was a practitioner in Southern California. He was recently employed at
Providence Health Services.

In
fact, he was also given license to practice medicine in Oklahoma, Connecticut,
Wisconsin, Florida, and California.

His
history claims that he had completed his pediatric residency at Tripler Army
Medical Center in Honolulu, Hawaii. He was also a graduate of St. George’s
University School of Medicine in Grenada.

What about his criminal history?

According
to his criminal records, he was charged of domestic abuse in Hawaii back in
2012. However, the case was later dismissed.

He was also involved in a vicious
child custody battle with his ex-wife. Here’s one good reason for you all to
never neglect signs of mental illness: You don’t want to be like Bharat
Narumanchi.

According
to his court filing, his ex-wife was “a
hapless person from her childhood who decided to marry him, a born U.S. citizen
and thus gain what she coveted and dreamt of — the U.S. citizenship that eluded
her when she lived in the U.S. as a student.”

His
residency records show that he had lived in a couple of states, but it was
unclear as to why he was living in Austin, Texas, at the time of the homicide.
