Look out for a topless thief!

There are a lot of things to be considered when committing a crime,
such as checking if there aren’t any witnesses, police alarms or CCT camera around
you. But nobody would have thought that wardrobe malfunctioning could also be a
thing that could occur during a crime.

A woman in Houston stole a package from the front porch, and
even a wardrobe malfunction couldn’t stop her from claiming her prize.

It all happened in the matter of a few minutes, when a woman
pulled into the driveway and grabbed a package before returning to her vehicle.
She was in such a hurry that she didn’t bother to check her dress, which was
completely torn from the front.

“She clearly was having a wardrobe problem on the way up,”
said Harris County Precinct 1 Constable Alan Rosen.

In the footage recorded in the CCTV camera, the homeowner can
be seen yelling at the thief in an attempt to stop her but failed. The package
contains a dress from Nordstrom. Oh, the irony of a topless thief— guess she
really needed it!

“We have got some suspects in mind. We got a pretty clear look
at the vehicle and of the person,” said Constable Alan Rosen.

“A lot of people are getting packages delivered and ordering
online as opposed to going put, so yeah, there were more package thieves that
have been out there,” said Rosen.

Well, we get a lot of news about package thieves especially
during the holidays, but it’s good to know that— naked or not— they work all
year!

That said, here are the following things you can do to prevent
packages theft:

Tell your neighbors to collect it from the porch.

Try adding your office address for delivery.

Alert the delivery guy if you are not home.

Leave specific instructions for the delivery guy to place the
package out of the reach of thieves.
