Not knowing what to do or how to help their loved one can be extremely frustrating, which is why it’s so important to create awareness about cancer.
The more people know about the disease, the better they can handle it if they ever go through the experience. Awareness can also help decrease the spread of cancer on International Cancer control day.
February 4th is recognized as the World Cancer Day around the world. It’s your chance to do your bit to support the cause. Here are five creative ways you can make a difference and have a cancer-free future.

If you’re a blogger or writer, consider doing a feature story for the international awareness day, so your readers get information about the campaign. You can also record a video message and post it on social media or your website.
Light up the World
The official colors for World Cancer Day are blue and orange. One of the best ways to create awareness about the disease is by lighting up significant landmarks, buildings, and monuments in the city in these colors.
It’ll create a sense of curiosity in the people and they’ll be looking up what it stands for immediately. This is something you can’t do on an individual level; you might have to write to the concerned authorities of a certain building or monument to get this done. Yes, it’ll require a bit of struggle, but the end results will be worth it.
