Serena
Williams started the Year 2021 with a bang at the Australian Open with her
victory against Laura Siegemund. The 32-year-old could just watch the
masterstrokes that Williams kept bouncing at her –which she had no answer to.
The legendary Serena Williams seems ready to claim her throne in the next 13
days – the 24^th Grand Slam title.

The
queen adorned a one-legged cat suit and simply nailed the look – like always!
But she seemed in a bit of an emergency right after the match.

Look,
it wasn’t that she was in a hurry to continue with her practice sessions with
coach Patrick Mouratoglou – it was Tom Brady.

Lost?
Well, let us fill you in.

In
a post-game interview, she was given an update regarding the Super Bowl after
which she literally jumped with joy and excused herself in a hurry saying:“Okay I gotta go, I gotta go, you’re taking
so long. I know I’m trying to go finish and see the rest of this. I’m American,
we love the Super Bowl. You know Tom Brady is in my age group, so you know it’s
exciting.”

She
honestly looked like a child who couldn’t control her excitement for a 43
year-old Tom Brady who lifted the biggest trophy in the history of American
Football. In fact, she was on her way to global domination herself when Brady
won his first-ever Super Bowl in 2002.

You
could tell in the interview that she was in a fun mood. It had several fun
elements, like one time she complained that the mic was too high for her 5’9”
height.

But
you’ve gotta give it to her – the 23-time Grand Slam champion has never lost in
the first round of the Australian Open in the last 18 years. In fact, several
people placed their bets that she may soon break the streak after she lost the first
service game, but that was because of a double fault that she made prior to
that. It’s unfortunate that her German opponent didn’t utilize the momentum and
lost every game in the first set.

The
seven-time Australian Open champion is all set to meet eyes with the 24
year-old Serbian Nina Stojanovic. We wish her all the luck!
