After working together in That 70s Show –
like, 15 years ago – Mila Kunis and Ashton Kutcher are back together on screen.
But wait for it – it’s for the Super Bowl 2021 commercial! Have you ever
wondered why this real-life couple hasn’t worked together ever since? Or
scratch that – why did they decide to come together on screen for the new
Cheetos commercial after all?
Let’s take it back a few years.
Did you know that Ashton Kutcher (6′
2″, born on February 7, 1978 and worth $150m) and Mila Kunis (5′ 4″and born on August
14, 1983) met one
another in 1998 when they were working together on That 70s Show? In fact, a
lot of people would be surprised to find out that they were dating different
people at the time altogether. It wasn’t until 1998 when Kunis finally admitted
tohaving a crush on Ashton Kutcher. Her first kiss ever was scripted, and it
was with him!
Anyway, long story short, the couple finally
accepted their feelings for each other and made it official in 2012. Both
connected at the 69th Golden Globe Awards on 15th Jan,
2012. They were quick to move in together, but waited till the July of 2015 to
get married. It’s actually surprising to know that Kutcher and Kunis have been
together for nine splendid years!
So why didn’t they collaborate or produce a
project together in all these years? And why did they specifically come together
to make a Cheetos commercial? Well, it was because of their children!
She spoke candidly to Entertainment Tonight: “Also, it was quarantine, and we were stuck
with our children for nine, 12, months at this moment. I was like, ‘Two days,
baby! Two days off.’ Literally, we were like, ‘Yeah, OK, let’s do it.’ And so
we did it. And I hate saying it, but we were like, ‘Freedom.’ It was amazing!”
Kutcher and Kunis have two wonderful kids
(Wyatt Isabelle
Kutcher, Dimitri Portwood Kutcher) and they both jumped with joy after watching
the iconic Cheetos commercial!
However, they’re young and they weren’t too
excited to see their parents go to work and leave them behind. They had gotten
used to the pandemic rituals where everyone stayed home and spent quality time
together.
She said: “Our
whole family is already co-dependent, so this pandemic just feeds into our
entire co-dependency. And my husband and I were super co-dependent for like
eight years, and in this pandemic, our kids are like, ‘Where are you going?’
And I was like, ‘The bathroom.’ We haven’t left each other. We’re in the house.
Yeah, it was really weird for them. They forgot that we have to go out of the
house.”
Aren’t they the cutest family ever?
