Blackberry
is back and trying its best to level up in the competitive android market! The
new Texas startup called OnwardMobility has promised to release a brand new Blackberry
phone with Android as well as a physical QWERTY keyboard by 2021!
We
don’t know much about the specifications of this device as of yet. However, we
do know that OnwardMobility has spoken to The Register and has guaranteed that
they’ll be coming up with a brand new keyboard design – something that will
reflect the values of the brand and elevate typing experience.
OnwardMobility
seems confident and the kind of enterprise that believes in getting the work
done. It makes sense because the brand is finally going back to its roots and
further strengthening their positives. These attributes won the brand loyal
customers and a hardcore fan following in the first place!
Furthermore,
the device seems to lie somewhere as a healthy mid-range standard. While speaking
to The Register, CEO Peter Franklin said that we are not only focus on designing the most productive and secure device but also an everyday device. This include everyday specs like a top-notch camera. Also, we understand that we need to be competitive and so do our pricing.
It’s
actually fascinating to study the history of BlackBerry. There was a time when
this brand was considered the monarchs of the industry, but it became
complacent and the Androids and iOS took the game from its hands.
BlackBerry
tried to make a comeback in 2013 and 2015 but each time it failed to strike a
record! By 2016, the company stopped making phones altogether and gave the
license to a Chinese manufacturer TCL. However, TCL will be losing its rights
at the end of August this year and that has enabled OnwardMobility to jump in
and make an advance!
So,
in a way, this is the fourth or fifth trail of BlackBerry phones – call us old
school or simply stupid but we’re actually excited to see its 6th
comeback!
According
to sources, the new phone will be manufactured by FIH Mobile and apparently,
the phone will be available in North America and Europe by early 2021!
