A Twitter user revealed that the Airpods Pro cases are now being assembled in Vietnam and MacRumors was the first company to report this. One member of The Verge hinted that the company might decrease its dependence on China for the manufacturing of Airpods.
Usually, AirPods Pro units have a message on the back of the case that indicates that they were assembled in China. The new case looks like this:

A lot of Apple products are made in China but the company is now expanding its horizons. This could be because of the coronavirus pandemic but we believe that the main reason behind it is the ongoing trade war between the US and China that made tariffs on some Apple products necessary, putting immense pressure on CEO Tim Cook. In 2017, Apple also started its manufacturing in India.
As of now, we are not sure about the percentage of AirPods Pro designs being made in Vietnam or if Apple even plans to invest more in the country. However, on Tuesday The Information stated that the company is definitely going to use factories in Vietnam to come up with a new pair of headphones but Apple has not commented on the subject yet.
