Infinity Ward has issued an update for Call of Duty: Modern Warfare and it displays a message in support of the Balck Lives Matter Movement. Once you update your game, the black screen along with a short message appears.

“Our community is hurting,” the statement reads. “The systemic inequalities our community experiences are once again center stage. Call of Duty and Infinity Ward stand for equality and inclusion. We stand against the racism and injustice our Black community endures. Until change happens and Black Lives Matter, we will never truly be the community we strive to be.”

According to sources, the message appears every time you launch Modern Warfare on PS4.

The video game industry has been quite vocal about the Black Lives movement after the murder of George Floyd. This move by Infinity Ward is being appreciated as a lot of people engage with the game so the reach would be higher.
