When you open the lid on the gadget, you’ll see there is space inside for three liquid lipsticks cartridges. To get a customized lipstick color, you’ll have to deposit precise amounts of lipstick color into the compact and then press a button. Once the gadget has done its magic, all you have to do is swirl the colors together using the brush that comes with the kit and apply it to your lips.

Also, considering the custom lipstick packaging, the brush is attached to the side of the gadget with a magnet. What’s interesting is that the compact can be lifted off, so if you want to take your custom blended lipstick with you somewhere you can easily keep it with you for on-the-go touch-ups.

You can make an additional purchase where you get cartridges’ packs in four unique colors including fuchsia, red, orange and nude. You’ll get three cartridges in a single pack. These are the four-color families using which you can create a number of different lipstick shades.

To choose the colors you like, you can use an application created by the company for YSL Rouge Sur Mesure. It allows you to choose from trending colors that are designed by L’Oreal in collaboration with lifestyle influencers.

According to Guive Balooch, the global Vice President of L’Oreal Tech Incubator the user can also select their eye or hair color and the app will automatically recommend the shades palettes that on the basis of the data of scientific color will best match with the features.

Balooch was the leader of the team that created Perso. It’s not only your features that you can match the lipstick shade, but you can also take a picture of your bag, clothes, shoes, nail color, or eyeshadow to make a color that matches these things. This is just so amazing that you can create lipsticks of all colors using a color wheel.
