If you are concerned about the graphics of the new next-gen consoles, then we have some good news for you. Epic CEO Tim Sweeney has said that the new gaming consoles like Sony’s PS5 will revolutionize the graphics quality in game development.
Sweeney called PS5 “a remarkably balanced device” in the press briefing for the newly announced Unreal Engine 5 which will be available for PS5.
“It has an immense amount of GPU power, but also multi-order bandwidth increase in storage management. That’s going to be absolutely critical,” he says. “It’s one thing to render everything that can fit in memory.”
“We’ve been working super close with Sony for quite a long time on storage,” he added further. “The storage architecture on the PS5 is far ahead of anything you can buy on anything on PC for any amount of money right now. It’s going to help drive future PCs. [The PC market is] going to see this thing ship and say, ‘Oh wow, SSDs are going to need to catch up with this.”

Sony claims that the new processor will be faster than any on-market device available right now. It is going to eliminate load time and make the speed of the game much faster so the users would not even have to wait for a few seconds for the game to store data.
As far as the Xbox Series X is concerned, Sweeney has not commented on it yet. He only said that both the consoles are working with custom SSD that will ensure remarkable speeds, but Epic obviously has a closer relationship with Sony. His appreciation for Sony has increased excitement among the gaming world because a man of his experience praising a new console means that the device is definitely going to be as brilliant as Sony is marketing it to be.
