Facebook has added a new emoji that allows people to show empathy.
The social networking site is exploding its features and is going to be adding a new reaction that will help users to show support to one another. Facebook wants people to “feel a bit more connected” so it has designed this new reaction sign that shows a face with a hugging heart. This reaction would be a hit since we’re dealing with a difficult time collectively as a society.

The reaction will be released globally on the Facebook app around next week. It would be available next to the other reaction emojis. In addition to this, another care emoji will be launched around the same time and this one would have a beating heart. Although, Messenger already has a non-animated heart option, it will now have an option of choosing between the two though default settings.
These are minor alterations and nothing compared to the load that Facebook has been dealing with currently. Yesterday, the tech company announced that it would start adding anti-misinformation messages on the feeds of users who consciously or unconsciously share/spread inaccurate information about the Coronavirus.
People have increased their usage of Facebook in the last couple of days because of the lockdown. Since people are staying at home, they’re spending an excessive amount of time scrolling through their social media accounts. Despite all of this, the company has experienced financial loss as it has lowered its digital ad spending.
