Apple has launched its new top-quality Thunderbolt 3 cables for only $129.
The new Apple Thunderbolt 3 cable is longer and offers some additional features which are hard to find with other USB-C cords.
It’s about 2 meters long (or around 6.5 feet), supports both USB 3.1 Gen 2 10Gbps data transfer and DisplayPort output, available in a black braided design. However, the data transfer speed is up to standard Thunderbolt 3’s 40Gbps between well-matched devices.
You may be wondering why the price is too damn high for a cable? Well, Thunderbolt 3 cable doesn’t seem to have any competitor who can offer the same feature (or better) for less, and also the brand “Apple” also has something to do with price.
Despite that, Apple was selling this cable on sale last month, and previously it was sold in a bundle with the Pro Display XDR.
Belkin Thunderbolt 3 cable, which Apple also distributes, does not support DisplayPort 3 cable or USB 3.1, which means that it’s only compatible for the devices in the chain that have Thunderbolt 3.
With braiding and supported features, Apple’s Thunderbolt 3 Pro Cable really takes the lead among all other cables; hence, the price is justified!
And if you’re not willing to pay $129 for a cable, neither you care about the length nor the braiding that you want, then Apple’s regular non-pro 0.8-meter Thunderbolt 3 cable is the right option to go for which offers the same features for $39.
If you’re still not satisfied with the above deal, then Amazon has a better option for you! Get a JSUAX Thunderbolt 3 cable for only $24.99. Isn’t it a better offer?
