The new feature of
Google, “hum to search”, is a great tool if you’re someone who remembers the
tune but forgets the lines. It will help you figure out the song by using
machine language techniques so that you can release the frustration of remembering the song stuck in your head.

It will be rolled out
today for both iOS and Android. Also, it will be integrated in Google Assistant,
so you just have to ask this new Google trick “what’s the song” and simply tap the “search a
song” option. You’ll then receive a long list of results related to the song
you looked up.

According to Google,
the feature works by using the machine learning model which “transforms the
audio into the number-based sequence and represents the song’s melody. The
company trains the machine on a variety of sources, like human singing,
whistling, and humming. In
addition, the feature works effectively even if
you’re tone deaf.

It is available in
English on iOS and Android in more than 20 languages.
