SpaceX
has been a trailblazer in many ways and its recent endeavors are simply
fascinating and giving space exploration a new meaning.
As
we know, SpaceX aims to launch approximately, 12,000 satellites for their latest
project, and so far it has achieved success in launching 58 new Starlink
satellites on its Falcon 9 rocket. On Saturday, it has also been discovered that
three satellites from the planet have tagged along for a quick ride. These
satellites are basically being launched to develop proper internet connectivity
on Earth.
Falcon
9 rocket launched and returned back to Earth safe and sound. The rocket landed
on the Of Course I Still Love You drone ship present at the Atlantic Ocean.
To
give more background on Planet satellites, you should know that they are part
of the company’s SkySat constellation that includes a couple of washing machine
sized crafts that generate high-resolution pictures of Earth from space. The next SpaceX’s Falcon 9 Starlink launch is
scheduled for July and it will be launching three more Planet satellites. Both
the launches are basically part of SpaceX’s SmallSat Rideshare Program which
provides operators with an opportunity to aboard on its next mission!
Starlink
already has a website through which you can acquire more information on news
and service availability in your area. Private Beta Testing of internet
facilitating satellites is expected later this season, which will be followed
by a public beta testing.
Bob
Behnken and Doug Hurley also went to the International Space Station in its Crew
Dragon capsule two weeks ago. So, it can be said that exciting things are
happening at SpaceX, and unlike ours, its year has been full of adventures and
milestones! We wonder what’s next!
