Do you know that
YouTube’s mobile website permits pictures in picture mode on an iPhone running
iOS 14? This is actually great news because you can browse YouTube in Chrome or
Safari instead of the YouTube app that doesn’t support this unique feature.
All you need to do is
start a video, switch on the Picture in Picture mode button which becomes
accessible once you maximize the video, and then continue with your usual
routine while the video will continue playing in a small floating window on the
side.
And you know what? You
don’t even need a Premium account for this! YouTube had actually blocked the
Picture in Picture feature when Apple launched it a couple of weeks ago, but it
seems like both companies have settled the conflict.
This feature was
observed by MacRumors and none of the companies has actually announced it.
Maybe it’s just a trial or one final shot at things? Well, do give it a shot and
enjoy it while it lasts!
