Sony’s latest event is
slated for next week! Apparently, there’s a 40-minute “digital showcase” on Wednesday that will include details regarding
the Sony game studio and third-party partners. The pitch line for Sony’s event
is “one more look at some of the great
games coming to PS5 at launch (and beyond!)”.

It’s also possible that
we’ll be told the release date along with the price of PlayStation 5. Before
the leak of Series S, Microsoft was supposed to announce its plans regarding
Xbox Series S and Xbox Series X, like the pricing and specification. Sony also
opened up registration for PS5 preorders, but again, the date for release as
well as the price are still in the air.

It’s possible that
we’ll be told the price of PS5 on Wednesday – considering the preorders start
from 22^nd September. In addition, sources reveal that the Xbox
Series X console is being sold at $499 – but again, there are different prices
for disc-less digital and the regular edition.

Furthermore, conjecture
is that we’re about to get competitive next-gen pricing. Anyway, that’s all
that we know about the Sony event so far. The show is scheduled for Wednesday
PM ET / 1PM PT and we’re very, very excited about it!
